It was a foolish thing to think that the Trickster could easily be proclaimed dead. It was a quiet notion to believe that Briar had just disappeared off the face of the planet and given up on everything.

    Hardly.

She was after all the Trickster. Not just a coyote... but she found that other forms could be thrilling to her.

Bones cracked as she streched, turning on her heel as she took in her naked form. Teeth were bared in a predator's smile. She rather liked this form.

The lie had been played so well. A daughter? Of the Coyote? What a delight that they had fallen for the lie.

She rather liked this form. It suited her... and she new of a few... that would like it just as much.

The hunger was a new burn within her. Those absinthe eyes still peered out through new dark lashes. Dangerous and wild... and once again free.

All they had to do was look at her and know. If they were smart enough. A twist on her heel again to pivot in front of the mirror.

It wouldn't have been the first time she had 'changed' so to speak. Where metal imbedded tattoos once dwelled, this forms tattoos glistened like a burning sun.

    "Tiger Tiger Burning Bright."

A quiet laugh edged into a purr as she eased herself into the skirt that was far too small to be considered a mini and the leather corset. The final touch were those leather boots... that just begged and dared anyone to give her the night of her life.

    If they only knew.

"Yes... I think this form will suit me just fine... I rather like it...."

Briar had become Ariahn... and the Coyote was now the Tiger... but after all wasn't it all just one and the same when you placed a game with the Trickster?

    Neverless... the Bitch was Back

It was strange to think how hunger could be such an aching burn. For the Trickster the craving was more then just about food. The woman after all had other needs that needed to be well fed.

It had been forever since she'd even dared to cross paths with Rhy'din. At least for the most part she'd be well hidden. Hardly recognized.

A lick of lips and her eyes narrowed to dangerous slits. Prowling through the forest to the outskirts of that old familiar tavern.

She inhaled deeply, nearly gagging on the potent scent of overused perfume. A brow arched as she smiled to herself. It seemed some things had never changed...

However, tonight the hunter was on a mission and her hunted was not just your regular game. He was after all once a partner in crime. A lover... a best friend... to term the coinage loosely.

Two killers hardly made best friends after all...but they made other things work... very well.

Throaty growl escaped her lips as she licked her mouth. Waiting and wanting as her fingers flexed into fists, claws unsheathed. If not for a little fun... she'd settle for a kill...

She woke up in that groggy relaxed way as ever muscle screamed rage of complaint of over use. It was one of those feelings of being well sated though. Over and over again.

Absinthe eyes opened to take in the room as she peered through her lashes. Not so willing to awaken. Fingers stretched out, claws absently stroking the bare expanse of chest of the man that slept beside her.

    Mate.

The thought of it had her purring, low lacing mirth and thoughtful realization of borderline feelings. Content.

She would never confess love. Not familiar with the word. Not one to use it. The bond was there and the Law Man understood it well enough.

Cheek nuzzled against his chest, black-gold waves spilling darkness and sunlight across his flesh as she closed her eyes again.

Feline smile darted across lips, dangerous and intoxicating in the same moment. She thought of taking a shower... but she was far too comfortable.

A little yawn and she curved and fit her body against her mate's again. Besides...showers were always better when you had a partner to reach those...hard to reach... places...

The hours had eased into afternoon the slight chill in the air had her bare flesh prickling, muscles rolling into the sensation like a lover's touch against her flesh.

Low rumbling purr resonated as her eyes slitted open again and she managed to lure herself away from the bed. Temptation for a meal that required another sort of eating had her stomach growling in its own way.

Stalking ways led her to pad silently through the house. Senses acute as the primal sense of smell led her to her destination.

Fingers plunged through black-gold waves of tiger hue as those absinthe eyes searched. Bachelor pad. Smirk. She didn't really expect much of a selection.

Sighing with a grunt, hips brushed to buck against the edge of the counter, eyes slanting in consideration.

Nose wrinkled. Soon enough there would be another call... another job... another kill. Not that she minded much. A quirk of a smile that edged to feral.

No she didn't mind at all....

Twas a storm a comin' and by the looks of it, it was going to be a nasty one. Nothing like ole mother nature having her time of the month to do some righteous venting, right? Khaleb looked up at the darkening clouds for a few more moments before continuing his self imposed tour.

So ... This was the new and improved Rhy'din. Rhydin. Rhyden? Rayden!! No, that's the lightening guy from that other realm ... MORTAL KOMBAT!!!! Seriously, there was little for Khaleb to be impressed about since his arrival. He had heard tales upon stories upon legends upon lore about the nexus realm, and it tasted more like a diluted drink. The only thing that made the realm stand out was the constant influx of herms/futa which looked to give his gender a run for their money in bedding the female populace.

To each their own, but some of those ...women were packing meat slabs too damned big, and as for the ones that craved them? Guess they be working the mojo to get that tight as a drum thing going again after the fact. 15 inches? 18 inches? Up to 5 inches wide? And that's on average!!! It's enough to cause a fella to undergo therapy for the rest of his life.

Transformers ... More than meets the eye!!!

This realm was more like a virtual red light district. "And here I thought I had escaped ... Hell." Those in passing might have given the man a second glance, who happened to be talking to the reflection in the shop window, but were otherwise too self involved with their own lives to pay him any mind.

Hints of a small grin lingered, while eyes of dark gamma green narrowed slightly. Sign of the times. Khaleb gambled and gotten free. There was no looking back.

    There was NO going back.

Rhy'din had become a cess pool from Hell.

She was glad that her employment had given her enough opportunity to eliminate those that were not worth the time or effort. Spawn.

Daggers were sheathed as the last bit of blood was cleaned from glimmering steel. Hands pulled her hair back into a messy ponytail of tiger striped ripples.

Those dangerous eyes of Tiger slit. Grunting as she dropped the calling card of her recent hire on the mutilated corpse of her recent target.

One might say the body was "mauled by a tiger."

    Heh. Fancy that.

Feline grin split her lips and with a purr vibrating in her throat she disappeared into the night...prowling back into the streets to head towards the dive at the docks while images of last night's rough and tumble with her mate played through her head.

Yes...it was a good evening for Ariahn...yes indeed

    The rooftops ...

What better way to watch the masses, getting to know, being in the know. The Medieval was anything but these days, while there was always a new place popping up one moment, and gone the next.

Khaleb had gone as far as to establish a place of employment, one that would allow him to just blend right in. The Club Cliche'. The irony was in the name itself. He could come and go as he pleased, with no questions asked. Not that he'd ever give a truthful answer, where's the fun in that?

Granted, the kneeling in the shadow position was getting a bit stale, and there was nothing really worth catching his notice outside of the usual eye candy that paraded about. A slight chill filtered its way through his bones, as a less than innocent grin began to appear on his goatee covered face.

It was indeed true what they say ... Good things do happen to those that wait.

To the human eye, they could pass without notice, considering how hard they work to craft their appearance, but there was no denying their stench, and that aura. The person in question was a bona fide daemon.

    Happy happy. Joy joy.

The highlander dressed like mercenary slipped back into the shadows of the rooftop, those gamma green eyes leaving a faint glow. Following the daemon as he weaved through the swarm of humanity and some not so human, his stride taking him away from the main streets of Rhy'din, and towards the docks.

Pausing long enough to stroke his goatee, a trademark grin became more of a sinister smirk, as Khaleb followed his soon to be intended target, making sure to stay out of range, whether it be physical or mystical.

Now why would such an unsavory being be walking to the docks at this time of night? The game was afoot.

She was silent and quick on her feet. Just the sloshing water against the docks to greet her presence before she was darting into the seedy little dockside tavern.

"Well well well...if it isn't the lil Tiger coming for a visit."

"Hardly a visit...I am here for my errand. I believe there is a package waiting?"

A grumble from the tavern keep. Yes Ariahn was always business and never pleasure when it came to these moments. But then he imagined he just wasn't the type for the strange shifter.

    "Yep here ya go lassy."

She murmured a bit of thanks. Dropping some coins down on the bar.

    "Whiskey please... glass and bottle."

Flashing that feline grin as she settled her pleasant little rump on to the stool

One might say the body was "mauled by a tiger."

Bloody unlikely, considering where the killing took place. It wasn't some random killing either ... At least that was what Khaleb had picked up from the conversation the human guise wearing daemon was having with his contact.

It wasn't out of the ordinary for several assassins, mercs, and/or bounty hunters to try to collect on a sizable bounty. It wasn't like there was a network that all checked into to see who was going after whom, right?

But there was the tidbit of knowing who was out there, and if he/she/it was going to present a problem. Khaleb wasn't always the sharing type, but he was smart enough to let the chips fall where they may, and if lady luck was feeling horny?

Those perky nips would point him in the right direction.

So his target would get to live just a wee bit longer. Slipping his hands inside the pockets of his coat, Khaleb could not help but to smirk at some of the buildings that ran along the docks, it was as if time had stopped here and remained medieval. Ironic considering the main lands had all but been replaced by clubs and other items pointing to the way of general modernization.

A slight grin of bemusement, as the daemon ducked inside one of those seedy little dockside taverns ... At least this place looked like the drinks wouldn't be watered down, and his appearance shouldn't draw too much attention to himself.

He'd give em a few to get settled in, his stride slowing as the approach the door was made then reached for, then opened as he stepped inside ...

The cork was snagged into teeth and withdrawn, delicately spat into hand and flicked over to the tender who snatched it with a grunt of dismay at the saliva coated topping.

Innocent of a smile as a cat who just ate the canary as she filled a proper portion from the bottle and sipped on it lightly, swirling in the stool as legs were crossed and the average day gathering of meat sacks and freaks and vermin were considered.

Delicate senses heightened as the open of the door rushed and carried a new scent on the air current. Eyes narrowed to suspicious slits as she nursed her drink.

That smell was not one of the locals... she knew this city and everyone in it...and it was of no surprise when a new person or an old time return came into town.

Tiger kept her wits about her. That's what kept her alive. The whiskey was nursed as she watched and waited...and of course always learned... things were about to get interesting.
