Sometime over the weekend of Oct 21, 22 Hostboard started reporting a database issue. Sunday night was when I became aware of the issue and I notified our developer only to find out that the hard drive containing the database had actually failed. Monday morning I notified our host and they replaced the hard drive. We immediately started restoring from Sundays backups. Once fully restore, I noticed that there were a few inconsistencies and some data missing, so we started pulling from Thursday's backup and merging the data. At this point, I do not think we missed a beat as the backups are all showing to be solid. Of course this is a first for us (equipment failure) so it is a small learning curve in terms of procedure and will be making small adjustments so in the event this ever happens again, down time will be lessened.
