and naturally, everyone watching cable has
prolly already seen them... but i haven't,
i only knew of the possibility of them
being made

at least... the trailers kick ass (thanks
to tj for hooking me up)

fantastic four

sin city

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

i think f4 is going to be pretty cool, at
least based on the trailer. of course, like
i said to tj, i felt the same way about
daredevil and the trailer basically lied.

there are (of course) some cheesy parts
in the trailers... but i'm willing to overlook
them on behalf of the fact that the rest
of the trailer is kick ass.

as for sin city... holy shit that looks
awesome!!!! as said to tj... i think that
movie would kick ass without dialogue...
or if it were done with text boxes...

still... i'm down with seeing them...
rest assured i'll be there

I saw a brief clip of sin city about a month or so back and have been pumped to see it since...saw the trailer last night...and I still want to see it but I saw something that made me a little less pumped...Robert Rodriguez is directing it and if anyone saw his last movie...Once Upon a Time in Mexico...you will understand why this made the movies stock drop in my book...

considering the ridiculous surge of comics to
movies lately... (and i mean in the last 15
years), i admit i have my doubts about f4....
but the trailer gave me hope... and i'm willing
to overlook some cheesy pc animation if the
bulk of the movie can cinch itself together.

sin city should get an award for the trailer
alone...

er... other than the 'big trunk' line

i like del toro too... he's pretty cool

<font size="4" face="Tempus Sans ITC, Tahoma">Every movie has to have a different attitude from the viewer when viewed.I liked Once upon a Time in Mexico. It was sequil to Desparado and Desparado was a simple movie done on a small budgett and thus Once Upon a time was the same, simple. Both movies were done with style in mind, kind of like Quitin Terantino flicks, heavy on style and less so on plot.

But if your not into it I get it.Its not for everyone.

Sin City also has a HUGE bonus to go with it. Frank Miller, the guy who created Sin City also Co-Directed it and had the majority of the input that went into the film. Frank's not Hollywood oriented at all so it should keep true to the book.

Fantastic Four has surface appeal but I don't think there's going to be anything about it that's good beyond the effects (Save for The Thing) and Trailers that will be attached at the beginning. I remember the first Fantastic Four movie that was never released (How is it that they aren't released yet you can buy them on E-Bay, like the Gen13 movie??????) but it was great! Completely cheesy, better than Captain America Lundgren style, but not quite as good as the Justice League movie they made, that was so over the top cheesy it was great!

Other movies comic oriented on the way are Ghost Rider (Directed by the same guy who did Dumbdevil), Superman (A mockery of anything Christoper Reeves, Tom Welling, and that one guy way back when who proved you that a grey suit isn't cool ever did), damnit I know there's more but at 2 am all I can think about is how funny it is that the song Toxic is actually toxic to one's ears... And oh yeah, Spawn 2 which would have been far better than the first is probably out of the picture completely now.

<font size="4" face="Tempus Sans ITC, Tahoma">its a shame too... but let's face it, i seriously
don't think you could pull off a decent ghost
rider movie at this time....

just be happy that didn't happen, eh? lol

i still wish they had gone more alex ross style
in as far as character styles.... shame really.

two more words: kevin spacey...
yum! (i just hope he can control that little
'quirk' he has... you know the one... where
he kinda just looks at the person he's talking
to and twitches his head to the side)

potential to be way better than the first pos...
