Question

Hey, I'm probably heading there around the first to do some Christmas shopping.
I need to know 2 things.

What is the best mall to go to there? Either the best or the biggest. Either one will do.

AND......how in the hell do I get there?
I know where the super center walmart there is and I know where the restaurant, "The market" is. I know how to get to the walmart and the "market" but that's it. So, if nothing else you can use the walmart or the market as landmarks for me to use.

I thought about going all the way to Little Rock's malls, but I don't want to drive that far alone and deal with that much of a hassle. If the malls there, where your at have what I am looking for anyway, I won't need to go to Little Rock.

Thanks Shatzy & Gravy! I owe ya one!

there are no malls in conway. at least, not like
the normal malls you (and everyone else) may
think about when the word 'mall' comes up.

there are strip malls....

here's a (shitty) map:

map1

1) hwy 64/the 3rd exit -- this indicates the
area you were familiar with. the split in the
road is the red light by walmart and if you kept
heading northeast, you would run by marketplace
(where we ate). just after marketplace is another
red light, if you took a right at the light, you
would head into one of the strip malls. this 'mall'
contains jcpenney, office depot, and some other
smaller stores.

2) oak street/the second exit -- head in either
direction and you will come across a variety of
stores. hobby lobby is on the left side of the
map. if you went to the right, you would eventually
run into conway's newest shopping 'mall' which
contains a khols, target, home depot, etc.

3) hwy 286/ the 1st exit -- nothing really on
this exit at all... in fact, i'm only putting
it here because i suppose it is another option.
if you headed left on the map, you would eventually
hit the #3 marker... which is yet another walmart
surrounded by a strip mall containing catos,
a dollar store, payless... hmmm.. in fact, most
of those stores in that strip mall are being
closed.. they are still open now... but its not
really much.

anyways... you are coming from the top of the map.
little rock is toward the bottom of the map.
if you were to look in the phone book, you'd
prolly come across something called 'wilkensons
mall'... which isn't really a mall at all...
in fact, its so nothing.. i didn't even bother
putting it on the map.

anyways... they say to shop conway first....
but rest assured that the internet is going to
see my cash well before conway does.

hope this helps.

unless you want to do all your shopping at home depot, lowe's and wal-mart...don't waste your time in conway. do internet shopping, or make the 30 minute drive to little rock and go to park plaza or mccain (i prefer mccain, simply because my parents live about 2 minutes from there)

to get to mccain...take I-40 all the way to north little rock. You will pass the I-30 interchange, and then a HUGE pentacostal church on the left. Make sure to get in the left 2 lanes and get on 67-167....this will lead around and you will see Target on your left, Petsmart on your right, you will take the 2nd exit you come to...the McCain exit, wrap around and come back over the interstate, you will see McCain mall at that point....just pull in, park and enjoy yourself.

to get to park plaza....once again take I-40 and when you get to the I430 interchange, take I430 South to I-630 East....follow on I-630 for quite some time until you get to the University Exit....take the exit, hang a left at the stop light....and continue on University until you pass University Mall on the left, and Park Plaza will be about a block past that....once again, park, enjoy yourself.

you might get better directions from shatzy, simply because i've never been real good at that stuff....

i hate all malls. i used to prefer park plaza
merely because they seemed to have high-end stores
there (over mccain)... but now i prefer mccain
mainly because i don't have to drive to the
heart of fucking little rock to get there.

well, it looks like even though I don't want to, I'm going to be driving to Little Rock. I'm gonna try Mccain mall. I'll probably be going there on the 3rd or 4th of December. I know exactly what I'm looking for, and according to both of you, and hearing about Conway malls, I really don't think I'm gonna find it there.

You two have both been a great big help and I appreciate it ever so greatly! Thank you BOTH so very much for the help.

mccain mall was the mall you went to the last
time... its pretty easy to find... dj gave some
ok directions... and actually, they aren't too
far off from what i would have said (though i
prolly woulda used a graphic).

you shouldn't have a problem

HEY! It's all good. I should have no trouble finding the mall there. You BOTH have been a big help, really. If it's simple directions and pretty easy, the way you have both made them, I have no problem finding where I'm going.
I'm SURE I will find it but just incase I do get lost unlike a MAN, I KNOW how to stop and ask for directions *L
