gay as this may sound. I love tailing a great driver. I feel a sort of, I don't know, loyalty to him/her. I have no idea who this person is, but suddenly, we're partners and the other drivers are against us.

And, what's even more gay, is when I lose my partner in driving, say to an exit, I DO have a sudden, but brief feeling of abadonment and loneliness.

If it is I who must leave the duo, I wave and *mumbles* have even honked goodbye.

This little nugget of deeply personal information about me is free. I'll be forced to charge for the next.

hahaha... i so know what you mean!!! i felt the
same way after mr. wyoming changed lanes to
get on the interstate entrance ramp. i, too,
felt a sense of loss... mainly because i felt
so empowered being behind them.

i'm so glad i'm not alone in this subject.
i was beginning to think i was insane for mentioning it.

<font size="4" face="Tempus Sans ITC, Tahoma">Well aren't we birds of a feather? Like you and Shatzy, I too feel that way after being behind someone who I have followed that I felt a "drivers bond" with.

Especially when I get behind a driver who drives like me. *L I have been behind drivers before on the interstate and together we look like a scene from the Fast and The Furious. Cause as you all know I'm the one who got busted doing 100 mph in a 75 mph zone. I've been behind some drivers before who they will lead for awhile and together we will tag team the other cars and leave everyone behind, then I take the lead for awhile. Everytime they turned off I felt like I had lost my driving partner.

Do not take for granted being behind a "good driver", because in the new age of asshole drivers, good drivers are too few and far in between.

its rare to find someone that can actually
drive... especially in this busy season,
you'd think the whole world was full of
morons behind the wheel...

but let me tell you something, folks....
yesterday i had the honor of driving behind
a person that, to my best ability, can only
be described as a damn fine driver.

i later deduced that the reason he drove
so well was because he reacted similarly
to how i would have reacted. i think we were
in a 1-2 second magin for absolute unison...
which was pretty cool. it was as if we were
moving in a carefully coreographed sequence.

a driving dance, if you will....

so... to wyoming 2913A, i salute you...

you perfect driver

getting behind a fast driver makes me happy...

just the other night, on the way back from little rock, i had the honor of getting behind a semi who was averaging about 85 miles an hour (in a 70)...that isn't that fast, but considering it shaves about 7 minutes off my trip (in a 30 minute trip) i'd say it was worth it. plus, having the idea that if a cop was clocking in the interstate, he would have picked up the semi long before he paid me any attention.

as for getting behind good drivers, i can't say that has ever happened, probably because i'm always looking at other cars in my rear view mirror

<font size="4" face="Tempus Sans ITC, Tahoma">Sounds familiar.

I love it when some dumbass in a mustang or riced honda drives way too fast along the freeway. As long as they pass me and don't hit anyone I'm happy, cause they just raised the speed limit significantly.
Plus, when they do crash, they keep me employed.
