I just saw the two WORST shows tonight. Both pseudo-'reality', which just means unscripted, but scraping just about as close to bottom-barrel as possible.
Spike-TV "The Dudesons", which are a buncha inbred Finland hicks all attempting to get the 'JAY'-lookalike down (Jay & Silent Bob). They live in a couple abandoned buildings without running water or electricity, and opened the show with the noble sentiment (paraphrased) "would rather not grow old and regret NOT doing something".
So with that statement; proceed to break every window in their 'home' by hitting golf balls thru them, and trick-out their outhouse so the seat collapses (dropping one of the brothers in a pile of shit).
The next program, "Raising the Roofs", was even worse. In this program, the hillbilly family of a D-list actor invade his current Hollywood residence. It was like The Beverley Hillbillies without humor; and a LOTTA shit, fart and pissing references. Not a single clue how to 'blend' or even tone down their 'You Might Be A Redneck If..." ways. Exactly what any non-US citizen would think of first if the term "UGLY AMERICAN" is mentioned.

low brow humor has its moments.... but i'm not
really one to care for it -- especially en masse
in a particular medium. i haven't seen/heard of
these shows until reading them just now... but
i can assure you that i won't be frantically
trying to find them on my tube.
after watching last week's PR, i was snatched
up into the season premiere of WORKOUT... which
i loved (strangely). there is nothing overly
interesting about the show... but i'm totally
digging the boss lady jackie. will prolly check
out the next episode to determine if its worth
my patronage for the season... or if it was just
a fluke premiere.

Hmmmm, on the subject of low-brow fun. saw the first episode for Korgoth of barbaria, a cartoon spoofing the old conan series. Great cheesy fun

Earlier this week, found myself actually LOOKING for the next showing of "Raising The Roofs". It's like that overweight stripper who married the billionaire corpse-show, a train-wreck in the making. Only moments from happening, so you don't dare look away!
Sadly, figured-out the hook a bit too early. Everything is pre-planned, nothing really happens on the fly, it's about as scripted as you could get-away with for a show pretending to be 'reality-TV'.
I have no wish to see the show ever again.
