so yesterday, i went to borders looking for the 'dead man' soundtrack, having never actually seen the movie.. but the dvd was $2 cheaper.. so i ended up buying that.

the movie was really.. nothing like anything id seen.. apart from the fact that at some stages i thought it dragged on (just a little bit) i really enjoyed it. it isnt a comedy, but several scenes eg. the scene with iggy pop were damn funny.. the director's attention to detail was amazing, things not even worth mentioning, but together. damn.
..and the soundtrack seemed so much part of the movie.. it almost could have been a silent movie, nothing but Neil Young's guitar improvisation.. it all seemed almost as meaningful as any actual dialog.

anyway.. im between gay java excersizes so i gotta be brief.

shatzy. cheers.

oh! i'm so glad you got to see it. i didn't
actually think you would. i agree totally.
there were parts that were just really cool,
and parts that were funny. it was a strange
movie -- as you said, different 'feels' through
it all... like the tobacco scene in the tent.

some of it was cheesy... but other parts were
just fabulous. hard to describe it, really.

i also agree that the soundtrack could have
easily supported the movie without dialogue.
it was a great soundtrack.

i'm so glad you did that

also thought it was cool at start, the way the director showed us the train was getting further and further out of civilasation by the fact the other passengers got weirder and weirder.

and yeah cheesy, you thinkin head stomping? coz i am. that scene was pretty average.

iggy pop and billy bob scene was hilarious like you said as was the tabacco thing (in the tent and throughout the movie)

i didnt understand why 'nobody' was killed at end. shed some light?

i laughed at that part (and you shouldn't have
mentioned it so plainly for those who haven't
seen the movie!!!)

i found it funny cuz that jackass was always so
calm and 'normal' and then he just bit it... rofl

yeah... that head smashin' scene was gay... right
up to the point with the halo and stuff

i agree the movie dragged in some areas, but i
also think that its because i wasn't familiar
with the whole story and was expecting something
totally different... thereby looking at the
movie in the wrong light.

i guess i'll have to rent it again

and yeah wes, rent the movie
