did anyone watch this season?
i fucking LOVE project runway... it has to
be my favorite show... well, before the
season ended. i still dig watching reruns
of the show... just because i love it that
much.
project runway has now been replaced with
'top chef'... which i have toyed with watching...
but only because it takes the place of
project runway at the same time slot, etc.
top chef doesn't seem that appealing...
at least not as good as PR... but after
watching the first show, i guess it is
as good as it will get. who knows.
another show i REALLY friggin love is
'i shouldnt be alive'... which comes on
the discovery channel (or whatever channel
it is). i think it is one of the greatest
shows to ever grace television... and after
watching the season (2) premiere, i can
say that this season (first episode) wasn't
as good as last season...
however, if you haven't ever seen the show...
WATCH IT!!!!
here's a link to help you: click click
if it helps, the show is repeated ad nauseum
on the channel so you don't have to watch it
on the listed time... which is what i always
do. however, the season only has a handful of
episodes... so its not like you have to see
each episode or watch it when it premieres...

in seeing any particular episode of ISBA...
definitely watch the 'jaws of death' or
'shark survivor' episodes... they fucking rule

i dunno...
i can "see" why they chose chloe... at least based
on the reasons that they gave. however, i was
backing daniel v. merely because he has/had some
kick ass shit. i felt bad when his model tripped
on the runway
i didn't really care for any of the pieces that
were displayed on the final show... and i guess
i was a bit surprised that they chose chloe...
but you know, she is a good ol' girl and i'm
glad that she won.
i'm sure as hell glad that santino didn't win

Wow. Shatzy comes back with an apparent Nihilist-attitude, and find out she's been watching Drama-Queen central! I never could stand Project Runway. Made a game out of it though. Will flip it on and watch until someone bursts into tears, then change the channel, meaning I never get to watch more than about 3-minutes at a time. Guess it could be a drinking game too, but you'd be drunk by the end of that half-hour.
Prepared to be disappointed, but waiting to see how Doctor Who on the SciFi Channel turns out. I used to LOVE the old 3-hour Dr. Who blocks on public television on weekends, back when Tom Baker (right name?) was the Doctor. Ya know, the tall Doc with the striped scarf and wavy shoulder-length hair.

haha, rev... you crack me up. project runway is
only cool to me merely because i find it interesting
to see all the 'projects' they had to do. when
i was little, i really wanted to become a fashion
designer (what little girl didn't?). i think
another element to having me watch is the fact
that i am only home during certain days that,
in some form or another, seem to be consecutive
and therefore, its easy to get 'attached' to the
shows that air during those times.
i'm a big HGTV fan during the lull.
as for dr. who... its funny you mention the
shows on public access... i used to watch that
when i was (way) younger and after seeing the
advertisements for the new one... i immediately
thought of the older series. at first i was
somewhat interested in the new series... but i'm
unsure. the new dr. who doesn't give off that
'edge' (if you know what i mean). in fact, its
scary.

Well, I SAID I was prepared to be disappointed. IMHO, Tom Baker was the best Doctor, anyone else is just a soap-opera actor working for scale. Who cares about non-existent special-effects, the stories were so well written that SFX didn't matter. There was depth that Hollywood crap like "Armageddon" couldn't hope to match.
SciFi Channel tends to destroy everything I love about the science-fiction genre, but this is (apparently) the new series brought over from BBC. Kinda like when Farscape (with their Muppets, by Hallmark) was shown on the channel.
I have high-hopes for Doctor Who, but prepared for the SciFi Channel to somehow fuck it up.
