Oh, and that stuff hurts your feet when you try to walk over it, all the riverbeds were full of that stuff so we all had to cross it over and over again barefoot. ouchie!

But it was worth it all in the end, sleeping on a little island in the river, on the side of the canyon wall, That was so pretty, the huge cavern walls just stretching upwards, while you're on a nice little island, lying back, looking at the stars above, with the soft sound of the river on the background. *sighs*
