new contest information post

we always have gay contests. i can't help
that. but its time for a new one. this kinda
contest has been seen before all over the
place, so its not that difficult.
prizes/awards will be announced per contest,
and since i can't think of anything yet...
i'll let you know.

ok... it works like this:

there are two categories of 'projects'
in which you use your fabulous brain cells
to come up with wonderful works of pc art.

each contest thread will be labeled according
to which kind of contest it is. each
contest will run for a few days and the
members of this board will vote on which
'piece' they like the best in each thread.

basically its just combining your creative
talents and pc skills into a complete whole.

here's what i mean:

CATEGORY ONE: CAPTIONS

this is the category where someone will
post a pic and you will have to transform
the pic to include a lovely caption. the
caption can be of any genre: funny, serious,
etc. and you can enter each threaded contest
more than once (perhaps that will give you
a better chance to win).

for example:

turn THIS into THIS
(thanks to ek3 for that lovely example)

the captions contest can also be done
in the way tg did his FMP pic (with thought
balloons -- see HERE)

CATEGORY TWO: COLLAGE

this is a bit more fun IMO and lots of things
can be done here. a particular picture is
posted and you would then have to either
make a collage out of it (by adding other
pics to the original) or you could be
given a series of words and be asked to
create a pic using images based on those
words.

since i think you are all familiar with the
first collage idea, here's something of the
second collage idea:

tg gave me 3 words earlier (but he didn't
know this was the reason). those words were:

PENGUIN, KOALA, RHINOCEROUS
i had already had a word ZEBRA

therefore, i created an image like this:



lol... my penoalazebrino!

viola!

thats it...

so now that you have the idea... i'm posting
a new thread for each type of contest....
i hope you all consider entering one or
both.... and then we all can vote on which
entrant (of each thread) we like.

also... you are all more than welcome to
create your own contest like this. just
start a new thread (so the contest items
are separate).
