arg... that doesn't tell me anything
*angry at media... not you cya*
and of course it changes things, zela....
it changes perspective
why didn't the other passenger pull the STOP???
His head would have been in the elevator for him to get held by the doors and for his head to be removed...
I was just wondering that myself....why didn't the person on the elevator at least make an attempt at trying to free the guy....i know it's possible to pull the elevator doors apart at any given point of an elevator ride (it is not suggested, but it is possible to do).
I think you are underestimating the amount of time that it happened in.
The doors were closing just as he was stepping onto the elevator which means there was probably a total of 7-10 seconds (at MOST) before his head came off. That isnt a lot of time for the other elevator passenger to decide wtf to do.
It's a lot different to be in the situation and have to know what you should do.
i have no doubt the other passenger could have
reached and used the STOP button in time.
its not like the elevator is huge (in as far as
arm-span)... however... since it was in a hospital,
maybe it was one of those huge industrial elevator
cars that are large enough to hold a patient
and crew... which have two doors on both sides
of the elevator car... in which case... the
button panel would be on both sides...
and i would almost bet, like most lone individuals
on an elevator... you stand closest to the panel.
I guess I forgot my most important point...
it was a woman. women freak out when shit happens and freeze up instead of doing something.
Like when you see a spider, Alison.
Everytime Alison sees a spider on me, she freaks out! She jumps up immediately and runs 10 feet from me with her face white as a ghost...but she never actually tells me wtf is happening! So I'm like "What??????".
And maybe the stop button was broke.
well.... i react differently when around spiders
than i do injuries.... i'm in a completely different
mindset.
I'm sure you do as I have seen you react quite well in a lot of different situations such as...
"Someones coming! Cover yourself with this rag!"
And I am aware that your "freezing" is pretty much isolated to seeing spiders, however I think that a lot of women arent like that and tend to freeze up more often.
Hell, it said she was treated for shock. That's understandable though...I'm sure if it had been me then I'd lose my head as well. (bad pun)
