i simply adore this movie. lucille ball made another
version of it and tore it to shreds.
the rosalind russell version is simply fabulous.
i love it... its so clever.
true, the moral is somewhat obvious and the film
is typically predicable...
but the exaggeration and clever puns make it
so much fun to watch again and again...

If you enjoyed Peter Jackson's "BrainDead" (renamed "Dead Alive" here in the West, cause there's an earlier movie called "BrainDead" out this way), you might wanna take a gander at his first two movies; "Bad Taste" (think it was a 16mm film school project, as every other name in the end credits is "Peter Jackson") & the X-rated Muppet movie "Meet The Feebles". And to think, from B-movie sleaze & gore, he'd go on to direct "Heavenly Creatures" (about two girls who develop such a friendship/bond, they murder one of their parents to stay together, based upon a true story. His first film to get "serious" critical acclaim, though it bored the hell outa me.), then came "The Frighteners" (Back to the Silly. First time Directing a 'known' actor from America, Michael J. Fox). And from those films, which gathered more of a cult following than recognition from published film critics, he's suddenly given over $175Million to direct The Lord of The Rings trilogy... (?!!)
