its funny how some people act when they are
close to death. sure, you hear about it
or maybe see it on tv... but its weird when
you see someone trying to hard to grasp on
to life... being scared and remorseful...
its sad... and touching...

it is...and it makes me wonder what i'll be like when my time comes
and it makes me wonder, too, which i'd prefer...a long leadup time with opportunities to say what may have remained unsaid...and to do what may have been undone until then....
or...a quick sudden death with no warning or foresight...where people will gasp at the immediacy of it all rather than focussing on an illness which robs so much

i honestly try to avoid any and all personal
subjective thoughts on death...
sometimes it's hard enough to remain objective
about it...
our will to survive is so hard-wired into our
heads... and we know that we cannot avoid death.
so i assume there comes a time in a person's
life when you just pretend death doesn't exist.
i saw a really good bbc movie the other day...
made me cry like a wuss.... but in it, the main
character was describing what it means to be
good.... and what goodness and happiness is....
and she said that before we are born, we are
elements of pure energy that are shown true,
pure forms -- justice, goodness, etc -- and that
when we are born, our energetic material is
clouded by our fleshy costume, and we search
for goodness, trying to find it based on what
we remember seeing before birth. and after we
die, we return to those forms.
i thought that was kinda poetic

i like that.....
i believe our souls evolve over lifetimes and that we arrive with lessons to be learned from the previous life....and over and over this goes....until we reach the point where all lessons have been learned and pure goodness of spirit evolves....
well that's what i believe anyway *S*

it's good to see any being existing in a consistant
state of learning and evolution. its humbling
and quite true.
