And it's so wierd, the world is full of people, each with their own delusions... a miracle we were able to get this 'far'.

If you meant that prayer, than praise the Lord. You are a saved person. I strongly urge you to read the Bible, and find a church. Find a Christian to tell that you're saved. And please don't let this be the only time you pray. Praise the Lord.

They strongly believe in something, who gives a fuck? How are you so much better that you can judge them any more then they can judge you. How the fuck can humans become better if everyone just sits on their ass and questions everyone elses beliefs? Fuck that.

one has mentioned 'judging'. we are merely speaking
about an individual that is so wrapped up in
bullshit delusion. its the same way people are
when they point and talk about politicians...
or white trash.... or other things.

#1 -- if no one questioned anything... there
would be no level of 'better' ever.... just
complacency or 'standard'.
#2 -- by implying that 'now' is not 'better'
(as in your first 7 words)... is to state that
what is current isn't doing the job... which
is to state that you have contemplated it.

ehm, adding to that :
in my post i did not claim that my beliefs were not delusions. It was about humans in general, that everyone believes something different, sometimes radically and yet we're still here, in cities, countries and whatnot.
Further, most zealous believers in something will generally not learn to see outside their frame of reference, as far as my first statement goes.
It's quite possible that if human kind had not believed in religion and an afterlife that as people aged, they would have gotten real nasty and gone out in a blaze.
Shatzy, seem to be implying that the world would have been a better place through the ages without religion.
Perhaps another question to ask is if the earth could spawn again, and again, and again, in cycles, what percentage of the time would religion have been created, and how many times would it have not been created.

religion is some save-all.... this is not the
first time you have suggested some 'blaze' and
'nastiness' about people without religion.

with what i said. but since you brought it up,
yes... i do think that.
have you ever stopped to ask yourself what
brought about religion?
secondly, have you ever asked yourself what
'good' religion (only) gives that cannot be
given from something else? (besides guilt and
shame -- as they are the only true properties
derrived from religion)

close.
though i fail to see where i have added my own
opinions... i will admit that i do not think
people can be 'good'... and that it is usually
convention that alters those properties (no matter
how obscure and inappropriate)
So you're saying that something could exist that would inspire people to be "good" people that you believe religion does not seem to correctly produce.
