Well, when one says "I", it is the Mind referring to its "self", and that is the only thing which could be said to Actually Exist. All else also do exist, but not as permanent as the "Mind".
A complex enough material brain, which makes it come to be in it's complete and True form, and all the body tools that help it perceive, are but aids to help the Mind Experience it's own Existence.
Which is what, existence is all about.

....just IMHO though.

Shatoush, before I tell you what I think of Mind, I would like to know, what have you come to understand as...
What is perception?
What kinds of data do we receive?
Where is this data stored?
what is the Program that uses this data?
what powers this program?

....just IMHO though.

Oh, lord.
Look, I'm real, OK? I've got ten fingers to type with, lungs to smoke with, and a mouth to drink coffee with. My back hurts to much for me not to be real. If I'm not real, then why does my landlord CARE if I pay the rent or not? I mean, if I wasn't real, he could rent my apartment out to any number of unreal people.
so, I take up space. I perceive. I can, within limits, communicate with other people.
Now, the "I" that I am right this minute * is somewhat different than the "I" that I was before I starting typing out this post. That "I" hadn't had that funny thought about my landlord. I've created a new brain groove with that thought. So now we're dealing with (minimum) 2 "I's" the one that began this post, and the one finishing it.
In other words... "I" am constantly in flux.
HOWEVER. Speech is communication. Communication that is too complex breaks down, and becomes noise. If I were to attempt to differentiate EVERY SINGLE "I" that has ever existed, or will exist, or exists now, I would be paralyzed, from a communications point of view (also from a mental breakdown point of view).
So therefore, when I say "I", I refer to the "I" that exists... that takes up space, that goes to work, that pays rent, etc. To go all Yankee on y'all... good fences make good neighbors. Y'all don't need to worry about all the stuff that goes through my head. (TRUST ME). I choose what I want to communicate about who I am. I say "I", and that's what you have to take.
