Philosophy is from the greek Philos and Sophos, meaning 'love of Wisdom'
Wisdom is the excersize of good judgment by means of assertainment of truth.
As exampled in the Wisdom of Solomon, Solomon was considered wise NOT because he used a ploy to determine who was actually the childs mother, but because he was able to determine the truth of the matter, from which his ability to make the right choice was facillitated.
Now a days we would simply use DNA testing to determine who was actually the childs mother.
The best philosophy you can find is one of honesty, to yourself, as it is only in honesty that truth can be determined, and only in truth do you learn anything. (everything else is just a liar, telling you lies, the only thing you learn from them is that they are liars!)
Plato asked; "What is God?"
Robin (thats me) BOLDLY answered; "The TRUTH!".....figure it out for yourselves!

i am tempted to go another direction on this, but since o am unfamiliar with this particular 'Mr. Robin', i think that sticking close to the sidelines is best at present.
so tell me, why find Truth?

Buckminster Fuller... The name sounds familiar... Is he the geodesic dome guy?

Speaking of Greyhounds.
"A Greyhound is a working dog" Once they retire, they are either "put down", sold for science research, or just starved.
What a sad state of affairs for a dog that creates wealth for many, and entertainment for many more.
I say the dog runs because to do otherwise means it will be mistreated.

i have an all-too-human answer for your post, but then again, if i had anything more, i would BE the dog, not the 'watcher'.
clever, indeed.

If you don't seek truth, then what is it you seek??, lies???.
All is truth, there is nothing else that exists, lies do NOT exist, simple as that.
Truth is the only 'thing' that you learn from, that's why!

Ahh, you like my words now, but you will be mocking me before the thread has ended.
That my dear netzens is why I am buckminster fuller, because I will tell you things you will not believe, and you will call me wacky, and before the sun sets you will reject me three times, and yet fifty years from now your grandchildren will call you the fools and me the visionary. Which is why your laughter will roll off me like water off a ducks back...because I know and history supports my conclusion.
