'...Here the madman fell silent and looked again at his listeners; and they, too, were silent and stared at him in astonishment.
At last he threw his lantern on the ground, and it broke into pieces and went out.
"I have come too early," he said then; "my time is not yet."

I am the book someone forgot to write.
------------------
As miserable as life may be I hold it pretty precious...
If I lose the light of the sun, I will write by candlelight, moonlight, no light. If I lose paper and ink, I wil write in blood on forgotten walls. I will write always, I will capture nights all over the world and bring them to you.

ah, so let me see if i translate this right, you call what i said an insult, condemn the use of insults as something that's brings you to the lowest possible level of humanity but somehow apply that situation to me, in short, insulting me .....
All i can say is... welcome to the basement.

Mr. Robin, i have never been so insulted in my life. I would appreciate it if you would now refrain from all posts that you make, for in some way or another, you have managed to insult me in every way possible. I don't know how you manage it, but you are able to mix nouns, verbs, adjectives, and other grammatical words to make the average human (ie, me)to feel similar to the lowest scum of the earth. Ok, now seriously. I feel that insults are necessary in life. Without them, no one would know when to improve. In high school and even today with friends, insults are our main way to communicate, many males would consider positive criticsim quite homosexual in nature, insults are a way to make positive criticism macho in a way. I would suggest that if anyone is offended by insults thrown at them (racial and sexist slurs are an exception), i feel that that person should take a good look at their life and realize that they are a grown up, a true adult in their own right. life can not be a bed of roses, we need to learn to roll with the punches, brush off the dirt and mud when thrown at us, and move on to bigger and better things. this is one of my only serious posts and i hope that it is taken as it was meant. I have enjoyed posting, but when insults are demeaned to worthless, meaningless hurtful statements, that is when i have to make a stand. insults are good, and they can be quite humorous in many ways. and by the way, i didnt see a single statement in this topic that could have been taken offensively. Mr. Robin i did enjoy your statement about having to stoop to rise up again. i applaud you on that one. in fact, that should be a post by itself in this topic "Fav' philo quotes". i would also suggest those who have not read them, scroll up a ways, and read some of my favorite philosophy quotes, i think you will enjoy them.
