has anyone read the book "sophie's world"? i read it a couple of months back and that is what got me properley interested in philosophy, and made me start questioning stuff i had never really thought about.
its a really good introduction to famous philosphers, starting from about 500bc up to the present day. but the book isnt just like a textbook, there is sophie's story alongside all the information...

i would sooo reccomend everyone to read this book!!! its ace smile (and it doesnt have too many big words either wink just enough for it not to be patronising)

indeed! i read it too and it's a must read for anyone who likes a brief introduction in philosophy and an interesting novel besides that!
(plus it's kind of a thick book which i like biggrin )
