ok. again a new thread is issued to cover this topic (based on my personal whim that says we need it). wink
once again i start this thread where mr. robin left off:
*********************************************

"Freedom of speech" is you stateing whatever you want!, but with me having the ability, the right, to hold you responcible for your lies
"Freedom of propaganda" is you being told what you cannot state!and me having to be silent when you intentionally lie, no right to stop you, no protection from the damage that lies can cause, no recourse, no trust, no respect, no rule of law, no FREEDOM!
*********************************************

Cool

so let me get this straight--

freedom of speech is the ability to stand inside a church on sunday and hold everyone responsible for their lies.

and freedom of propaganda is church on sunday.

right?

you see, my point was this:

freedom of speech/propaganda is not just the definition you originally posted.

you cannot simply issue a declaration and expect people to follow it, no matter how lengthy or simple it may be.

the point of my post was to state a claim based on your original assertion expecting the original assertion to be ammended based on my post.
it was. wink

it is similar to all of the other topics on such 'ideologies'. no single idea can be thoroughly accepted by every individual--good, evil, freedom of this, freedom of that....
the more freedom you have/want...the more restricting it becomes.
this is redundant.

...and the subject matter of my original post was irrelevant.

How do you decide what the truth is then?
your truth their lie? or your lie their truth?

and if you decide to decide on the truth through say logic and ratio, aren't you already selecting a certain amount of propoganda?

oh, btw, it was goebbels, not gerbeols.
trust me on this one, i lived in germany wink
Ow, and in the other post, the name of hitlers book was "mein kampf".

Thank you for the spelling corrections, I had noted that I wasn't certain (sp?), as I cannot be expected to know everything instantly, on the spot, 'proof' that I am human?

well, if you would be a being that knew everything instantly you'd be able to fake not knowing :P
so no proof :P

i would like to admit that i despise the use of the word 'proof' in just about any train of thought.
proof is shit. its a ridiculous notion. proof attempts to create some absolute when there certainly isn't any.

could we use the word 'evidence' instead?
am i being too screwy?
