Not allowing someone to die if they have a terminal illness, and are suffering in pain from what cannot be remedied.
The theme song from M*A*S*H is "Suicide is painless" as it is death that is seen as the cessation of all feeling, ergo pain.

I can't die. So therefore, not allowing me to die means nothing.
So I'll take a stance on the forerunner which no one seems to choose.
