i am fed up.

no, i take that back.
i have been fed up.

only now i have decided to say something.
this is an unfortunate turn of events because, like most of the 'vanished' posters of this forum are well aware, i will end up taking on the role of MAJOR ASSHOLE.

i don't care. enough is enough.
and being designated moderator, i suppose
i'm going to hafta roll up my sleeves, crack my knuckles...and start tearing everyone a new one.

up until this point, i had been subtle.
har har har.
so much for that idea.
evidently been subtle is bullshit.

the prompt for this post is bullshit.

enough of this introduction....

there will no longer be any more posts on oprah.
there will no longer be any more posts on geraldo.
in fact, i don't want to see any more posts
on any of that shit.

this is general philosophy, not therapy.
(though one could easily argue that--in some form or another)

in the beginning i was curious about the postings of mr. robin and the undertones
that may (or may not) have led to something slightly pertaining to philosophy.
this oprah shit has gone on long enough.

i understand that you may argue that the post(s) are about justice, freedom...or some other bullshit philosophy cop-out one could muster.
but i have yet to see the door leading to any of it.
oh i see a door alright.
but it leads to a circular hall--taking us back to the same door.

i have tried, upon numerous occasions, to bring about some sort of 'general' philosophical argument from the posts i have been experiencing.
as to be expected, it has only led back to that damned door.

despite the subtle cues, GP has now become a forum of spam-type posts and overall crap.
no one posts here.
it is no surprise.
shit, even i don't wanna come here.

mr. robin, i have no problems with you posting an area of thought that would be related to the core of this forum's description.
on that note, allow me to usher in a few new topics that can be broken up into threads.

i do not feel that we are born tax collectors. it is apparent that some people feel that we are, passionately hunting and destroying that which brings our life to debt and ruin.

at the risk of sounding cliche (help me!), i would like to say:

I AM THE MASTER OF MY OWN FATE.

ok. perhaps i say this with a slight twisted smile. asside from that, i would eagerly annnounce this sentence in that it not only suggests my ultimate control over the outcome of my life...but also, i am fully aware of and acknowledge the fact that i am held accountable and responsible for myself (only). rolleyes

4 arguments.
that is what i have pulled from the past few months of posts here.
those 4 arguments are displayed above.

now....
stick with these. have a discussion.
and refrain from posting in the usual manner.

oh yes, and no more slamming, please.

on a related note, mr. robin, might i suggest that you attempt to get your own forum where you can easily post your views on the oprah situation and how life has dealt you a bad hand.
you are obviously capable of maintaining the forum required time of 21 days.

i have no problems deleting.
as most of you know, i practically LIVE online. so it would be no problem to delete

mr robin, she tries to have a forum that will be as free as possible, but honestly, look back, this is no philosophy forum anymore, this place has become your diary.

And allthough i can understand that you want to place all that online, it is not entirely fitting for the forum in a sense that it may be very important to you, but to be quite honest it does not spark the interest of the other visitors and thus just clogs the forum up.

Maybe you should consider your own forum? there you'd be able to post all the things you want to.
and besides that this forum would be 'open' again for new posters, other topics etc..

In most of what I have written, clearly I have asked for comment, and posed questions, that is foundational in philosophy.

Do you mean 'others' can no longer post because I am posting here?

Aside from that, if this is the case then they, the 'visitors'can, and should simply ignore anything that I post.
(just out of curiosity, how do you know what the 'visitors' are thinking, as in you seem to have decided for them that it "doesn't spark them", how do you know this???)

That is, after all, very easy to do!

You have me completely baffled at that comment, for as far as I can tell it is still completely open for anyone to post anything that they would like to.

Perhaps I am missing something here, like the conversation about me that doesn't seem to include me, is that possible???

okay mr robin, maybe that was a bit too harsh, but what happens is that - you post many things, usually quite long text too.
And to be quite honest, almost no-one even reads it anymore, because the previous texts made us lose interest. Now it's just long,useless opening posts where hardly anyone replies.
