alex--
i regret to post that i cannot find a way to make myself clear.
it is unfortunate.
i realize that because i went astray from the topic and centered myself on contradiciting terms, i hung myself.
at least,
as far as anyone here is concerned.
i merely wanted to express my irritation toward the conflicting ideas expressed (based on word usage).
instead, this have become yet another tangled ball of yarn.
i simply cannot find another way to say it.

yes. there are more male construction workers than there are female construction workers.
i have never understood why there is a man vs. woman debate. it seems completely meaningless. men are better at some things, women are better at others, so what? there is no superior gender.
and for you, gravytrain,

quote:
as far as leading a country for example, ie. Presidency, women think to much upon their emotional side. Men, on the other hand, think more from their logical side.

i think that women are just as capable as men when it comes to lying and cheating, which are the only things one must be good at to obtain political power.

Why thank you gnosis, first for viewing this debate in the same manner that i do. and second, for responding to my post in a very mature manner. (something few other people have done). i disagree about your view about politics, now granted, i am nowhere near up to date in my current affairs, however, i do not believe that this country would still be a very strong entity if it were not for many politicians who are in fact skilled in their field and morally sound. yes, i will agree that many people in political power are liers and cheaters (i will also agree that women are just as good at that as any man could ever be) but just becuase some are this way, does not mean that all are. you have done exactly what i was blamed for doing earlier. putting all people in one basic category, you have placed anyone with the label "politician" in to the category of lier and cheater.

I think i misspelled lier or liar several times in that previous post, please forgive me. spelling was never a strong area for me, that is why i became a computer programmer.

gravy--
the comment i made concerning you lumping individuals into one category is not the same as what gnosis did.
shit!
i even gave you the decency to add that i am sure you were not doing so.
gnosis was lumping people based on stereotypical behaviors (or lack thereof).
what you did was make a common mistake in grammar judgment.
it was really meant to be no big deal.
if it serves you well, i apologize for offending you.

Shatoushka, I believe that once again i have used wrong grammer. blamed was not a good selection for what said. in fact, i am not sure what word would fit best. noted, possibly? anyways, i apologize for offending gnosis if i did, and by no means is an apology necessary on your end. HOWEVER, i feel that stereotyping is not a very good idea either, for that is where racism and sexism and countless other -isms begin. so, i believe it might be best to end this thread seeing as how my grammar is only making my points seem ridiculous and outlandish.

Would love to know the parameters, the context, that this is placed within.
Evidence, as in superior at all things, some things, this thing??, that thing?? way to blanket a statement to just accept at face value!!
You should note that, (probably) the majority of the universities buildings were constructed by men....does that mean anything?
