I was walkin down t he street to a funky beat,
feelin real nice feelin real neat.
had a little moeny so i got somin to eat,
sittin alone so i kicked up my feet.
and what do you know another freekazoid,
had a little confidence, and didn't feel void
stood up slow to dust myself off,
not too hard, not too soft.
she was shoppin and it was that all new,
she looked fourteen, i was that plus two,
i was kinda dusty cuz i just finished hittin,
went over too her and she started hesitatin
i tried to ignore and then i kicked my game,
and ever since then i never been the same.
she looked me up and down and checked my speedo,
before i said a word she said I have to go...

but hannibal, what about those of us who do not believe in god? do we have free will?
as for things being connected, pplaverita, i can see that one choice will have an effect on another. such as, if i choose to skip breakfast, i may be more inclined to eat lunch, but that still doesn't mean that i will.

Well, for those of you that choose not to believe in god, so then again, your free will is your decision?
*ponders*
Well, I would imagine that one could theorize that there is some ultimate goal for everything, which is why it's constantly moving, but then again the theory of entropy states as the second law of thermodynamics that things move from order to disorder. In a motion towards chaos, which would then be that we did not have free will to begin with *very set regimented ways of things* but we are moving toward a chaotic area, where everyone has their own "free will". So perhaps it's not a matter of having, or not having persay, but is a matter of "evolving into" the realm of free will.
just some brain activity I decided I'd spill out... I just came up with this idea, so any arguments would be a good help to refining it.

that was funny tastingood!
hannibal--
are you saying that we could only have free will in chaos? if so, exactly how chaotic must things become before free will develops? if things break down into total chaos, there would be no one around to have free will.

We progess in to free will is what I'm offering... we don't exactly gain it right away, and perhaps, if there is total chaos, in which we could not survive to use our complete free will, then perhaps THAT is why it is so elusive, and such a topic of debate.
Perhaps it is our own fountain of youth.
