There are 5 houses in five different colors. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. These five owners drink a certain drink, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. Yet no owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same drink.
Now, given the following information...
- the Brit lives in the red house
- the Sswede keeps dogs as pets
- the Dane drinks tea
- the green house is on the left of the white house
- the green house owner drinks coffee
- the person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds
- the owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
- the man living in the house right in the center drinks milk
- the Norwegian lives in the first house
- the man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats
- the man who keeps horses lives next to the one who smokes Dunhill
- the owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer
- the German smokes prince
- the Norwegian lives next to the blue house
- the man who smokes blend has a neighbor who drinks water
My question is --- who owns the fish?

So what, dear? Half my friends and 4 colleagues out of 15 smoke Dunhill. I prefer Holborn, though. I've tried about 30 cigarette brands and 10 tobacco brands, but Old Holborn came to stay!!!
(A suggestion: When you post another puzzle, type some of its keywords in Google; you'll be amazed to see how many people have solved it!)

so why does that make you proud?
maybe i'm not following. are you suggesting
that smoking (anything) is going to cause
something that, otherwise, would not happen?
awfully bold statement, zela.

I know this is completely off topic, but hey, I'm procrastinating...
I've smoked exactly once. Around 10 years ago, my parents found a cigarette in our yard. In order to allow my sister and I to experience smoking at home instead of being tempted to try it elsewhere, they lit it up and had us take a drag. I was being a bit cocky, so I took a good, deep drag... and then spent the next several minutes hacking over the kitchen sink.
Anyways, just thought I'd share.
