    does evil evolve?

it has once been said that the atrocities
that occured by order of hitler, were evil
    atrocities of an industrial, bureaucratic
    era/motivation.... and that large-scale
*evil* atrocities of an earlier history
are such based on the era.

assuming that evil does exist... does this
mean that evil evolves with social/cultural
    significance? or that the social/cultural
era/motivations are merely a means to
saddle the atrocities with a *new* definition/value?

It is evil to assume that evil exists.

You stated "assuming that evil exists". My point is evil does not exist. It does manifest itself out of everyday situations.

    That is a big difference.

    Mold. Babies. Fruit.

First they don't exist, then they do.

    ummmmm.... ok.

    so based on your examples....

    does evil exist or not?

even if evil were to have a *lifespan*.... so much
of the *lives* of evil would overlap making
    evil appear to be continuous...

or has evil not been born yet?

The conditions exist for evil to occur at any time, but evil does not take a form such as the devil, in my opinion.

Of course, evil is subjective. If we patiently wait to let someone use the crosswalk while we are in our car, we are being "good", but we don't know if the path it took to make the car we are driving, or the fuel to run it, was made without "evil".

It may be evil to believe that evil is the devil when evil may simply be something as basic as being lazy.

    Here is a cliche...

Evil thrives when good citizens do nothing.

evil is subjective... and as such, cannot be
objective other than in being subjective.
