I believe you simply just lived with the pain back then. I imagine it was quite easy to get left behind back then and instead of Special Ed you got a club in the back of the head
something i've wondered....
we have nerve endings that tell us that something
has happened to our bodies so that we can
take appropriate action if necessary....
such as a cut on the exterior part of our
body sends a signal that we should limp
or mind that particular area so that the
body can make necessary repairs... and so
that we do not create additional problems
to that area.
however... why do we have nerve endings
INSIDE ourselves?
i'm not talking about indigestion or the like
as it is apparent that this sensor is in
place to let us, as primitive animals,
know what food sources to avoid.
however... why have kidney pain? heart pain?
the types of pain that is associated with
a long-term disease or illness? (such as
kidney stones or some other internal issue)
naturally it would/could be argued that
this is so that we can get those things
checked and taken care of in good time...
however... how does this apply to the times
when man was just a savaging animal?
of course i'm ASSUMING that humans had these
types of pain back in the day... because it
doesn't seem to make sense that only AFTER
'modern' science that we suddenly have
heart attacks or palpitations or kidney
infections....
so what gives??

heh heh....
Survival of the fittest.
Until medicine came around, now we "have" to help everyone. Because everyone deserves a chance to live and breed no matter how fucked up they are.

Well...back in the day, I'm guessing we had an instinct that told us to eat certain plants when we had a stomach ach or whatever. Lamas do just that, and so do primates...so...we probably had that before we de-evolved in that sense...
Maybe?
Satan
how do we know when llamas have stomach aches?
