This topic is for anyone who wants to vent about being banned from a forum. Although you probably deserved it, how long should you be banned for?

    Forever?

    For Forever and a Day?

State your reason as to why you should be unbanned.

And with some neurotic mannerisms, they only wait a day or two before cloning the original board they were banned from....

Well, a distinction might be in order.

If the board was based on a craft or a specific interest, then they've been cut off from all others on Hostboard with a similar interest.

Cutting someone off from a specific interest is a form of persecution. If one then ridicules them for starting their own similar forum, what does that make the ridiculers but nothing more than witchhunters unhappy that their quarry is uncaged.

I do agree that a waiting period is a good idea. But how many moderators who ban someone actually unban someone?

To name a forum after a specific craft or common term such as philosophy, or Super-8 filmaking, then permanently ban someone from ever posting there doesn't bode well for the community at large that would benefit from the additional viewpoints.

But hey, Hostboard is so busy these days that all new member topic days defaults are kept to a mere 20 days so as not to overwhelm everyone with too many topic posts.
