MONTEREY, Calif. -- For the second time in two weeks, a great white shark has attacked another shark in the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Outer Bay exhibit.

The latest incident happened just before noon on Monday. The shark attacked and wounded a soup fin shark. The soup fin did not die from its wounds, but it has been removed from the tank that it shared with the great white.

Just last week, the great white attacked and killed another soup fin. Aquarium managers say the shark was not trying to feed when it attacked.

There is no word at this time on how the latest attack may impact when or if the Aquarium decides to release the great white shark back into the wild.

The Aquarium in my opinion has had this female on display for long enough. She is growing and developing her skills! She is fed on a regular basis by the aquarium. She should really be put back. Keeping her in an artificial enviroment like the outer bay tank limits and hinders how she would react in the wild as opposed to how she reacts here..
