(Mexico City) -- Mexican navy officials are in the middle of a shark hunt following the shark-related deaths of two swimmers along the Pacific coast.
Several boats and a helicopter patrolled the sea while navy and rescue officials used binoculars to scan the horizon.
One official said, "we've been monitoring the beaches; we've done reconnaissance flights." However, the official admitted there have been no sightings yet.
The attacks have prompted authorities to warn surfers not to go to far out in the ocean.
The Mexican government is consulting experts on what could be causing the attacks.
In addition to the two people killed, a Texas man was attacked by a shark but survived.
