Bode, "take no prisoners" Miller has no regrets about his visit to the Winter Olympics. While I agree that success doesn't necessarily have to be measured by how many medals a participant wins, Bode didn't even officially finish 3 of the 5 races that he entered!

While Mr. Miller keeps insisting that the whole Olympic experience is what matters the most, suddenly, I think I understand. The Olympics are not just about participating in the events one qualifies for, it's also about how much "action" one gets off the course as well.

Perhaps how many times Mr. Miller got laid counts just as heavily as medaling in an actual Olympics event. One wonders if Mr. Miller is better equipped to finish what he starts off the ski slope versus when he is on. Perhaps Mr. Miller has his own interpretation of what getting "the gold" really means. It seems downing a beer faster than reaching the bottom of a slalom race was one way Mr. Miller measured his success at the Olympics.

When it came to practice runs and studying the course Mr. Miller would be racing on later that day, Mr. Miller took a "been there, done that", approach. Apparently Mr. Miller took the least amount of time of all the skiers to study the course he would be missing gates on later that day. Maybe if the gates had been adorned with pictures and phone numbers of the local Italian hotties Mr. Miller would not have missed even one gate.

When not downing beers or carousing, Mr Miller even found time to play basketball AND twist his ankle before his final run. I guess Mr. Miller was right, he really did have a full, and fulfilling schedule at the recently completed 2006 Olympics.

So the question I have is, if it were Emily Hughes or Sasha Cohen downing beers or galavanting well into the night, or hurting themselves while playing in a pick-up game, or barely taking the time to review their scheduled routine, would we not question their judgement, question their character, and perhaps even call their behavior "sluttty", or promiscuous?

Why oh why couldn't a reporter have just asked Mr. Miller the tough question, "Mr. Miller, isn't your behavior at these Olympic games sluttty in nature? Are you not a male sl-ut? It's not as if the reporter wouldn't be able to get away from Mr. Miller if Mr. MIller became abusive. The reporter would simply asks the question at the top of a hill and if Mr. Miller became hostile, the reporter need to simply ski down the hill, the odds are Mr. Miller wouldn't catch the reporter if his night life depended on it.
