Yes, space aliens watch the "Earth Channel". One of their favorite shows is the one where a women who could have been an adult film star if she had wanted to instead trys to make it in a more "accepted" line of blue collar work. However, just like an adult film star, Ms. LaFave has one strike against her, she had relations with an underage boy while she was a teacher. Rumor has it that no one walked away scarred from the incident, except perhaps for Ms. LaFave, since we all know about her now.

The Intergalactic digest's caption for the Deborah LaFave show goes like this, "Follow the zany adventures of Deborah LaFave as society, knowing she would have a following as an adult film star, instead harasses her in each job she takes once she was put on probation for having relations with a male minor."

    --------------

Apparently Ms. LaFave is not allowed to hug anyone under 18 years of age. Yet she works in a restaurant and apparently has a "staff" under her that includes under 18 years of age help.

Some of the prosecution's questions were poorly worded and actually devoid of validity. Hugging someone because they may have lost a family member, or a pet, or broken up with a boyfriend or girlfriend IS NOT the same thing as
hugging someone and then kissing them, yet the prosecutor implied that it all is a violation of her probation. Nonsense.

And the defense attorney just stood by and said nothing. Unnacceptable. And isn't it the job of the probation officer to monitor her actions via a weekly meeting and go over a plan so that she doesn't do anything that would land back in the courtroom?

Anyways, I bet there are a lot people in the adult movie industry who would rather stay there than try and immerse back into society after seeing how Ms. Lafave is being treated.

About an hour after I posted this I heard that the Judge threw out the parole violation accusation and said it had merit in definition but not merit in application of the law.

Ok, that's not exactly how the judge stated it but what I find interesting is that the judge actually decided not to interpret the law to the letter of the law and instead went with what I call "Logical Law".
