alex, you dingus...
while to some, the marlborough man represents
all that is evil in the (capitalists) world,
some see him as a standard no man can ever be...
and one which every man should strive to become.
rugged, independant (with a slight prompt to be
sensitive), a free-ranger... cavalier, sharp
and cunning... *insert more random bs*
maybe its cuz i'm from the south... i dunno.
i just don't invision the marlborough man as
being spineless.
just my $0.02 ramble from the singular post above

I read your novella. The one that Blazey trumpeted to the world on ADM.
Wow.
I decided I couldn't add anything of substance to the actual topic post, so I read it, absorbed it, and was moved by it.
But this is a new day! , and another forum! ...and in Alex days that's easily another 100 years.
So now I feel compelled to offer a remedy.
I know that men are from Mars and women from Venus, and that many times a women does not want a resolution, but rather support, to a situation,...but gosh durn it, I still feel compelled to offer a remedy.
I think your story needs to be a trilogy.
While I doubt parts two and three could ever match Part I, I'd like to see you take a stab at writing from the point of view of the cell phone hoochy mama, (aka the cell phone accoster) call that part-2 of the trilogy.
And then write from the point of view of the dreaded marlboro man. (aka the man with no spine.), and call that part-3 of the trilogy.

No, because it is of such a highly personal tone, and it was not D.C. who posted the link on ADM.
However, you can't miss it. Go to ADM-forum one, and look for the Blazey topic post that provides a link to the topic post in question.
(wonders if maybe I should provide a link...) :confused
I hope you find it!

I meant the phrase to have a nebulous feel to it.
Both rugged, yet yellow toothen at the same time.
