Besides the fact that the entire show is based on a lie, or a "test," I really can't decide if it's in bad form to encourage the lower nature (money-grubbing side) of these women, or if it's actually just showing them for who they really are.
I suppose if I were given the choice to go on the show, I might go to see if the guy were a nice guy. But although I know in my heart that I could never marry a man for his money, would that make any difference to the audience once I were lumped in with the rest of the money-grubbers?

perhaps he is really earning 19k a year until he comes to his inheritance, being xyz relation to the hotel clan.
and i still think it's in bad taste.
because the show was started on the fact that this person had money, any person is going to be disappointed when there is no kitty (if that's the case). perhaps money wouldn't even be an issue if it wasn't made to be one in the first place.
is this the future of us singletons??

Interesting points. The initial premise overides all else.
But does it?

I think this show is kind of stupid, but it's still entertaining to watch. I also heard that he blew it and told the girls somehow that he wasn't a millionaire, but who knows?! I also think that he has to be rich now after doing that whole show....

Well, I must admit I have not been tracking the series. I guess seeing "Joe" on various TV shows made me lukewarm to the show afterall.

I got turned off by the following sequence of events.
The guy starts appearing on SEVERAL TV shows to promote the show. I then see him flirt with some host and supposedly he is going to bring her to the Super-Bowl.
TIME-OUT!!!
If the show is over, and the lout has picked a girl to marry him, then wtf is he doing all of these shows for AND flirting with the female hosts!!!
He should be off making a life for himself and his wife, and NOT flirting and doing all of these shows.
AND the guy is an underwear model, so he may have a 19,000 dollar a year job, but he's also a model, MORE deception.
Joe full of HotAire.

hahahaha.
They should do an underwear episode where all the contestants watch Joe the underwear runway model.
The women could be served crumpets and tea (what the heck is a crumpet anyway?). That out to even out the sexism.
