i think women are more fussy but men aren't exactly just 'plucked' into a relationship.

On the other hand, you yourself have said you may not be the "typical" person of your gender. Perhaps what you think is not the norm. (not meant in any kind of deprecating manner)

no one can ever be described as the 'typical' whoever, because such ideals do not exist. they are averages of statistics and in the end, they are not representing any 'one' person.
