Rom 8-10

Rom 8:29-30 really brings out the sovereignty of God in salvation. It is known as The Golden Chain of Redemption:

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

I don't know for sure if human will plays any part in this, but if God overrides it in salvation, I'm really glad he does.

It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. (Rom 9:16)
