So I finally had my sonahistogram. It is similar to an internal ultrasound. The machine they use is 3D and they basically shoot some dye in and take a looksy with a "bulb" and the ultrasound ***** looking thing (sorry if to graphic). Any how, first of all, it hurt like **** . I was talking to the docs la la la la la and then all of a sudden it felt like I was in labor...you know, like your uterus is in a vice . So I did some Lamaze like breathing and got through it (only lasted about 10 minutes...I wish labor was that short ) Afterward, the doc explained everything to me. Turns out I have an odd shaped uterus (a T instead of a triangle) to begin with. If you can picture the T on the upper left side is where the scar tissue is and apparently it is blocking that whole area of my uterus. So the doc is concerned 1) if I get pregnant again and the placenta tries to attach in that area I am in for all sorts of trouble and 2) because I already have an odd shaped uterus and some of it is now blocked that it won't be able to expand enough to support a full term pregnancy. So, the next step will be to see a specialist who does operational hysteroscopys. Hopefully he will be able to go in and remove some of the scar tissue. The feeling is that if I am going to get pregnant again, I may as well do it with best possible uterus.
I will keep you all posted....one thing at a time right?
Please keep your posts and questions coming. The more we learn from each other the better prepared we will all be!!!!!!!

Jodi,
Don't you feel better having a plan! When is your appt with the specialist? I believe since you already had one full term pregnancy you will be fine with the next. A woman's body is an amazing thing.
