I change my 1988 pick to Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys Part Two, and put the other two as honorable mentions. (Let me edit!)

Of the ones you're considering getting, The Oncoming Storm, Awake, Shadows Are Security, Around the Fur, Deftones, and Does This Look Infected? are definately worth it in my opinion.

Thanks...I am not sure about "mainstream" bands like Godsmack and Sum 41. I wonder if they have a few singles then a bunch of filler. I guess I should just download everything first.

I enjoyed Awake as a whole and liked Does this look infected? as a whole as well. I think Chuck might be Sum 41's best, but the other is good too. Awake was no "Godsmack", but it was a different style.

A little heavier, but solid. I didn't really like Faceless at all. The new Godsmack cd is pretty good so far, but I'm not all the way through it.

Just as a side note, I recently saw Children of Bodom and left five songs into their set. I never listened to them before seeing them and I won't after seeing them.

I'm going to see Chimaira, Arch Enemy, God Forbid, Stemm, and Nevermore tomorrow night... should be a badass show.
