Where to live in Mexico?
I realize that Mexico is a big country, and as in any other country, different regions can vary greatly in terms of safety. I would like to get your opinion: how do you choose the best neighborhood to live in with safety considerations in mind? How safe is it to live in different parts of the country, especially for foreign residents?

Re: Where to live in Mexico?
You have to be careful with security here, of course, as the situation can vary greatly from region to region. For example, larger cities such as Mexico City, Guadalajara or Monterrey may have areas where security is higher, but also areas where crime rates can be quite high. Smaller cities and rural areas tend to be quieter, but you should be careful here too. I recommend using websites like FastMex Residency to learn more about safe neighborhoods for residents. This site offers useful information regarding residency choices and which neighborhoods are best for foreign nationals to live in. This is an important aspect, especially when it comes to ensuring one's peace of mind and safety. And of course, it is always worth talking to locals who can tell you where it is safe to live and where you should be careful.

Re: Where to live in Mexico?
I think choosing where to live depends on many factors. I myself have lived in several neighborhoods in Mexico, and each neighborhood has its own characteristics. In general, in big cities, safety always depends on how close you are to the center or to areas that are considered more upscale. In some cases, you can find great places to live with good safety conditions, but you should definitely familiarize yourself with local features and reviews.
