Dad In SUV Backs Over Child
    18-Month-Old Daughter In Critical Condition

WALTON, Ky. -- A father accidentally backed over his 18-month-old daughter in his SUV, News 5's Bina Roy reported.

Madison Louden suffered head injuries and is in critical condition.

Her father, Andrew Louden, thought Madison was in the house playing with other kids when he started to back out of the driveway.

"He thought he hit a railroad tie, stopped and pulled forward," said Tom Scheben of the Boone County Sheriff's Department.

The father was going out for pizza when he struck his daughter.

The Loudens, from Harlan, Ind., were visiting a friend in the 300 block of Old Nicholson Road.

AirCare flew Madison to University Hospital. She was later transferred to Children's.

This is not totally the dads fault.

Why didn't the adult in the HOUSE keep a better eye on the girl? What were they doing that was so important that they weren't watching this poor kid like they should have been.

I am not absolving the dad of ALL the blame, he should have been paying better attention while he was backing out, but let's just be sure to dish the blame out to everyone that has earned it by not doing what they were supposed to be doing. The adult/parent inside is just as much at fault here.
