She wore Prada, not Chanel, and was clearly not cut out for the role of France's first lady. But beyond the obvious, kind explanation for Cecilia Sarkozy's divorce lies a more intriguing question: why, in a land of such apparently relaxed sexual mores, was it important for President Nicolas Sarkozy (as well as for his also now separated Socialist rival, Segolene Royal) to appear to be in relationships as they raced towards last May's presidential election?

You know, it's terrible to be so weak. I mean, you take Trav- there is no one and nothing on this planet that could make him waiver on the ideological things he feels strongly about. If you want his gun, you'll have to pry it from his dead hand. He is a rock.

But me.....I can go on about the market and free speech and all those things, but if that chick walked into the room and started pimping socialism to me (in French, of course).......it would be like, where do I sign-up, Comrade?

Hey look- Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meier, Indira Ghandhi...hell even Hilary.... I give props to all of them for becoming powerful leaders, but I mean, it's not like I found myself wanting to go clubbing with any of them.

But this dame comes along and she was this close to becoming elected leader of a G7 country, AND I would like to go clubbing with her.

Now granted, she's still hot, but had she been elected, that would have made her HOT HOT HOT. I keep hoping that Sarkozy with have an affair with her, and the two of them can rule France together. The he decides to quit and she becomes Empress of the French Empire....

See I had thought of Eva Peron when I made my little list, but I really don't know enough about her. And as for Madonna, as they described her on the Chappelle Show- she was born Catholic, then she became a whore, now she's studying to become Jewish.

And then GL has to break out Imelda and I'm ready to yak all over my desk.....

I went onto Youtube and I checked out some videos of Segolene. I don't speak French like GL, but to watch her at that podium, it's like I can still understand her....she's saying "from each according to their ability, LewMan, to each according to their need." And I'm like, Oui Oui, Madamemoiselle.....

I meant Eva was classy. Madonna did a good job portraying her, but personally I have never thought much of Madonna herself. Skank. And now that she is married to some British nobleman I have seen her in interviews with her nose up in the air, assumed accent, pretending to be someone of substance.
