    Apparently there are 7 sailors on board and they have only enough air to last about 24 hours.

    Well obviously I wish them safety, also. But it does offer a little nugget of how much things have changed. Not so long ago, things like this happened and the public wouldn't find out about it for years. Of course, the stakes were different then, especially since the Russian subs that foundered were in danger of leaking radiation and since the Navy wasn't interested in 'rescuing' so much as 'capturing.'
