    what is the best way to wash a ghillie suit? have it dry cleaned or just at my own home? i do not have the slightest idea and also where would be a good place to purchase one that i can customize?

    well the only bit u really need clean is the front and that just wash it with abit of soap and water with a brush and cloth. well thats what i do, just clean the Duck canvas on the front, all the stuff on the strands of burlap is fine. adds to the effect.

    In my opinion, unless you took a dive in a mud bog, I wouldn't bother washing it. As per the previous message, it adds to the effect. I even prefer to not wash my hunting camo since colors fade. As long as they are aired out, there should not be a problem with odor. An option is to add scent sheild.
    Another thing to consider is that many detergents add UV brighteners and increase visibility at the UV level.
