Question

When starting to tie in the burlap do you tie each strand individualy, side by side or just grab several strands and then tie them in together as one big knot?

personally i grab a load of them (3-5 strands, depends on size) and attach them all together in one knot. works fine.

    About tying the burlap on:

How exactly should one tie it on. I mean should you kind of hang-tie it by tying the ends to the netting, or should you tie it at the middle of the strand?

I read the guide but it was a bit confusing.

    This is what i do

    See the pics : http://maveric.ascuk.net/ghillie_knots.jpg

pic 1: get your burlap, i use 3 strands of what ever colour.

pic 2: fold it in half.

pic 3: put it through one of the holes on your netting.

pic 4: Fold the top back around to the bottom to create a hole then put the bit u folded down and around back through the hole and pull tight, i find this works well and when tightened its a very strong knot.

    i find anyway..

Here another question, are there any more efective means of 'shredding' the burlap? Pulling out each strand is taking a looong time.

    Thanks

Thanks mav, the above pics did help. I already have got my burlap, I was just wondering if anyone had any sort of "homemade" tips to make shredding easier. Oh well
