And there are reports that Rumsfeld is stepping down.

    Pinch me. No, wait. Don't.

Re Rumsfeld - somebody has to take the heat for this "thumpin'" and you know it's not going to be Dubya.

I don't think there will be much "retribution." I think they want to make progress. They know they were voted in because people want change.

It would be great if the GWB I voted for in 2000 actually returned. I really did believe all of the uniter not a divider stuff. I love a good seperation of powers. Compromise is fantastic and gridlock is sometimes even better.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I just wonder who made the decision the day Bush said that Rummy and Cheney were staying, no matter what happened in the election. Had he at least hinted that the was willing to shake things up where Rummy was concerned, today's outcome might not be what we see today.

Gawd, what a relief. Now, they need to make good on their words and get to work.

It looks like the Democrats will take the Senate as well. I am damn near giddy today. My hope is that things will get done. My fear is that we bogged down in infighting and revenge.

Heres to a bright new morning.

DOing some googling i found out that since WWII during the second term of a presidency there is always a loss of seats during the 'off' election. This election the results were right on the numbers average wise.

why dont we hear that story in the media?

    is it true?

if its true. i dare a liberal here to apply the logic. its not really very good for you.
