I wish I could, but there's just no way since I'm five hours ahead of the east coast. I think I might sleep with the radio on, so I can halfway listen through the night.

They can't even report exit polls until 6pm EST and I'm 6 hours ahead of that, so I will wait until morning.

Having said that, I have a bad cold and wake up frequently with coughing attacks, so I may take a glance while I am waiting for it to pass.

I'm nervous and hope it's all done legally and fairly.

I'm having folks over tonight starting at 9pm. I have champagne and tequila. We will apply whichever seems appropriate. I also have a reaaaaalllllly nice bottle of champagne if we get really lucky. I hope I'm drinkin' the good stuff.

It's almost 2 am on the east coast (7 am here) and I'm really happy at the news about the House.

Also, South Dakota didn't pass the bill that would ban most abortions and five states approved minimum wage increases.

I can't stop smiling.

What a relief. Now we need Nancy Pelosi to put forward her 100 day plan and clean house like she said she would. Also, like Clare McCaskill said a few minutes ago, (Paraphrasing) "I hope that the Democrats do this right."

I agree. I'm mostly thrilled that there will be oversight. I think that it's bad when one party controls everything and this administration went overboard in proving how true that is.

I know that we will be slammed for looking vindictive by investigating everything, but this White House was a runaway train for at least the last 5-years and it all needs to be made transparent.

I'm just so relieved.
