**This past weekend's tournament in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti was actually an AAU SUPER-REGIONAL.

It was not the "School's out Classic" hosted by Common Bond.
The tournament was just held at Common Bond's facility, Common Bond paid a fee and registered just as everyone else did.

The Great Lakes AAU booked their tournament in the facility and Common Bond had to change the date of their event. We decided to play in the "Super Regional" because the dates coincided with our pre-arranged schedule.

The Camp Darryl Basketball Academy and the Common Bond program have a great amount of respect for each other and our programs support each other.
The Common Bond program had nothing to do with the schedule and/or the officials.

u-17/WHITE:

Congratulations to the u-17/White team on their runner-up finish!

The u-17/White team lost a very entertaining Championship game to the #1 u-17 team in the state, the Michigan Mavericks. The final score was 105-97....

TRAVIS BADER led the way with 44pts! Travis made 12 three-pointers.
JOHN MORRIS had 24pts.

The runner-up finish qualify's u-17/White for the AAU Nationals. We're playing in the Reebok Summer Championships in Las Vegas during the same time as the AAU Nationals.

Thank you to the parents who sat through the controversy of the Common Bond v Michigan Mavericks semi-final game.
*note* just before the game was played, the players from both teams actually agreed to "just go home". Parents, please be proud that the players wanted to get home to study for exams...
Most of us arrived home around mid-night!

Thank you for your support!
