FYI: by clicking on our LINKS page, the Princeton Review site is VERY helpful in the matter of these tests.
Please keep in mind that you can take these tests as many times as you feel like taking them. The state of Michigan gives one "free" ACT during your Junior year, but a lot of students need to take the ACT multiple times.
There is a fee for each exam.
The higher that your GPA is in your CORE classes, the lower that your ACT score can be. The Princeton Reveiew site has ALL of this information, PLEASE access this website!
If you're a Junior, it's wise to have a test score(ACT/SAT) or two in your(my)file prior to the 2008 session of Camp Darryl.
Coaches DO ask for these scores as well as GPA when they inquire about players.

If you're planning on attending a college out of the state, in most cases you'll need an SAT score. Check with the specific school that you're interested in or that's recruiting you to make sure if an SAT score is needed for admission.

PSAT information:
WHY TAKE IT?
It's good practice for the SAT, and it's a qualifying test for National Merit Scholarships and Letters of Commendation.
HOW IS IT SCORED?
One Critical Reading, one Math and one Writing Section, each worth 20 to 80 points
HOW LONG IS IT?
2 hours and 10 minutes
WHEN SHOULD YOU TAKE IT?
October, junior year. MANY STUDENTS ALSO TAKE A PRACTICE PSAT IN OCTOBER OF SOPHOMORE YEAR.

HOW DO I GET MY SCORES?
Typically, your guidance counselor will have your score, usually in December or January.

The next ACT test date is: OCTOBER 27.
Registration deadline is: SEPTEMBER 21.
The next SAT test date is: OCTOBER 6.
LATE Registration deadline is: SEPTEMBER 14.
The PSAT test will be held on either OCTOBER 17 or OCTOBER 20.
Get information from your counselor. If you're doing a LATE REGISTRATION, you'll need to call the numbers listed above.
