To all U-16 and U-17 families:

We are recommending that you make your travel arrangements to Las Vegas now in order to get the best rates.

We received some quotes from travel agencies and to fly as a group, we were not getting as good a rate as by booking the travel over the internet now using a credit card individually. We have therefore decided to have each of you book your travel individually.

There are several online sites in which you can get flights/hotel/ and rental car all in one package including hotwire.com, expedia.com, travelocity.com, hotels.com or even directly through the airlines such as Northwest or Southwest. You may even have a travel agent that you currently work with that may be able to assist you with making these arrangements.

We recommend for flights that you arrange to arrive in Las Vegas on July 21st preferably in the morning. In the past, since there are so many groups flying in for this and other tournaments in Las Vegas during the same time, car rentals were either given up, or lost due to travelers coming in late. We will start playing on July 22nd. Your return flight should be booked for July 26th as that is the last day of the tournament. We may be done playing earlier than this date, but we won't know until we get out there. We will be playing in Naperville, IL on July 28th, so we will need to travel on the 27th again by car to Illinois so keep that in mind when booking the time for your flight.

The hotel to book at is the Orleans. The teams stayed there last year and enjoyed it very much. It is off the strip, includes a movie theater, bowling alley, and arcade.

You will need to rent a car since the tournament is played at different locations throughout Las Vegas.

The coaches are flying via America West Flight 262 departing Detroit at 7am and arriving in Las Vegas at 8:13am. Their return flight is America West Flight 96 departing Las Vegas at 1:57pm and arriving in Detroit at 8:53pm.

Again, the best prices you can find are usually through a package deal where you book your flight, hotel, and car rental all at once. Pick your flight depending on which airport you are flying out of, then add the hotel in Las Vegas- pick the Orleans hotel, and then pick your rental car depending on what your preferences are for size.

If you have any questions, or have any issues with travel, please let us know as soon as possible.

We need to arrange travel for anyone that is not traveling with their parent so that they can be on the same plane as we are. Please contact me as soon as possible if we have to help you arrange this.
