Cleaning Ceramic pcs around oven doors?

Does anyone know how to clean the ceramic pieces around the oven doors? I see some photos where these are white and pristine. Mine are pretty bad.

I'm not sure what pieces you are referring to. On all of my porcelain surfaces I used Simple Green and green plastic scrubby pads. It took some elbow grease but it all came off.

Well maybe I am confused and do not know what I am talking about. This would not be the first time for me! I thought that I saw somewhere on this site about ceramic pcs that go around the outside of the oven box. I will see if I can find it again.
