Thought I would pass on a good tip for those looking for re-porcelaining. I dropped my parts off at Gigi's Hollydale Appliance in South Gate, California, on Friday (see http://www.reporcelain.com - call, don't e-mail since they don't answer). I saw Chambers burners that had just been finished for another customer - the quality of the work is good. The best part is that the prices are even better. Here's what my parts cost me:
Stove top (reporcelained to original black): $100.00
Oven floor (the removable piece, that sits above the burner): $45.00
Burners: $20.00 (each)
Collar: $20.00
Grates $15.00 (each)
Drip pans: $20.00 (each)
Hope this helps anyone who's going thru the restoration process. I was going to have to sell a kidney to redo mine until I found this place.
Cheers,
Tura
